Just as an added interesting note my sister visited me 1 week ago. Look at the monthly chart. We took a trip down to Austin to pickup my car in storage. I brought my water with me and some walmart strawberry and cream zero calorie sparkling water. We got down there, took care of business and neither of us were hungry that night so we hit the sack in a hotel. She's a thin skinny gal of 56 years. Next morning we begin our journey back and I told her I'd treat her to breakfast. I had told her that morning I had been on ketosis for a month but I'd order something just to be polite. She ordered a big breakfast at Crackerbarrel and I ordered coffee and some sort of scrambled egg southwest almost an omelette but not quite. Forget what they call it. Breakfast arrived. Came with hashbrowns. I knew I could never eat the whole thing. In the old days I could eat the whole thing in 5 minutes or less and maybe order another. I started in on it gingerly. Took a very small part off with my fork. I put it in my mouth, chewed it a little bit then let it sit there. I am telling you, that tiny bit of ranch eggs with mushrooms and grated cheese EXPLODED in flavor in my mouth. It was almost a religious experience. The flavors were so intense. We talked for 30 minutes and tiny piece by tiny piece I ate 1/3 of that. I put the other 2/3 in a to go container and savored them over the next 2 days breakfast. If you look on the chart a week ago you will see that. That was the only time in the last 33 days I had any food inside. Overall it did not affect a thing. It was like 800 calories total over a 3 day period. |
