Day 6 Posted by MaryL on 5/5/2018, 4:49 am It is Saturday and I can't sleep-On Friday I was so tired I fell asleep at about 8 pm. Upon waking in the middle of the night I have plenty of time for thinking. I was thinking it is Day 6. And now it is 322 AM.I am doing much better than I ever thought I would this time on Cambridge. By now I should have surrendered to all those temptations, succumbing to the aromas of fresh bread loaded with real butter, or pasta, or any number of salty snacks and maybe a couple beers or I might have had a big hearty meal like meat loaf, mashed potatoes and a vegetable followed by a decadent dessert. While trying to do Cambridge in the past I only wanted what I desired because I couldn't have it! That is not the case this time. I know having the Cellulitus has reduced my appetite and that is a great advantage. I hold onto the knowledge that I will feel so much better. I am looking forward to the moment when I can feel, lighter, and less burdened by this extra weight. I am looking forward to feeling "normal" and blending in- not feeling like I am the fattest person in the room. I am looking forward to shopping in the average size parts of the store instead of the plus size area. And right now I am really looking forward to being able to just take a walk without pain. I think I will try to get some more sleep and look forward to feeling much better when I wake up. Everyone have a great day.

The other 10% keeping that hand from grabbing the wrong stuff to "eat" Stopping for just a second and saying "is this one bite worth what will follow?" You go MaryL you go! Cinco de Mayo!! Posted by Yvonne on 5/5/2018, 10:43 am, in reply to "Day 6" I am praying for you MaryL and your poor little leg. You posted just what I think EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE!! I want to go shopping in the normal size part of the store. I don't want to feel as if I am the fattest person in the room. I want to go to the amusement park and sit on one of the rides without thinking I am going to break the seat. I have repressed all of these feelings. I am so glad you verbalized them because I feel as if I am not alone. I am so sorry about your cellulitis. But, with Cambridge, it is the only healthy program that can whack off at least 30 pounds in a month. Just think of that. We can do this, MaryL. It's an uphill battle but we can do it. WE CAN!!!

There are hundreds of thousands of people just like us that keep those feelings bottled up. It's time to let those feelings out in order to heal inside.

The 2 little CATS (hooligans) snuck out into the garage today. Ebony came right back into the house. Mr. Dusty wouldn't cone in til I left the door open for him.

When you consider the toll it can take on a person's life when it is abused, there is no way it is worth what is sacrificed. Years of missed opportunities, a constant undercurrent of feeling shame or embarrassment, feeling like you don't "fit" in the world, damage to mind and body...so many reasons for us to feel like we are on the outside, looking in on those that are living their best life. NO MORE! Food has no power over us any more then what's needed to nourish and sustain our bodies. It is a necessity, but should not be our priority.
