Gentlemen, , chucking mud only succeeds in getting each other dirty and achieves nothing. Chad, I was fully involved in the implementing of the new Casting rules. Why? Two reasons. one, we needed to align ourselves with the rest of the world. Two, it is not complicated. I am more than happy to have a one on one, as is Jock, to discuss it. The only real difference between before and now is the sinker weights go from ounces to grams.
Why do we use 6kg line to fish with instead of 20kg, simple, you can cast further. I am sure most fishermen already use sinker weights and line weights to give them the best distance when fishing and landcasting is the same. Now you have more scope that's all. It is not complicated.
As an Exec. we agreed to retain Tapered leaders and also certain sinker attachments ie "clips" .It certainly isn't our intention to have created something that is hard to follow. All of the areas that Jock has held Casting days since the inception of these changes have fully embraced it and understand what it's all about..
Once again, either Jock or myself are more than happy to go over it with you but I can assure you there is really no difference from what it was except sinker weights.
