Just a quick note to introduce myself I am a keen fisherman, was bought up around Papamoa but now live in the Waikato so I spend my spare fishing time travelling between west and east coasts surfcasting but most of my fishing is predominantly done around waihi and bowentown. Gear I use is a fin-nor powerlight 14 foot 6 rod and shimano aerlex 8000XSA still got my warehouse abu garcia surf rod which I upgraded from and just waiting to get a new reel for that so the missus or my young feller can fish with it. Always keen to meet up with fellow forum members and head out for a fish.
