For 10 years I had a 1996 Nissan Terrano 2.7 turbo diesel auto which I think is basically the same truck as a Pathfinder and it was an awesome motor. 300,000 kms on the clock and it never let me down once.Did not use it on the beach much admittedly as I have a quad but when I did use it I did not have any problems and it got me out of a particularly nasty gully near the Tarawera river mouth where lesser 4wds would have struggled. Sold it recently because of its high kms but I was sad to see it go.
