Someone was sounding me out for information on the rumor and had seen a picture(No landmarks) had been informed that 3 fish had been landed between the two anglers, one of which had broken one of there rods whilst playing it in. As for location it was not given out but mentioned as HawkesBay , caught from the shore, on fathers day. If they were caught and im not saying that i don't believe they wernt as mentioned above"anything is possible in fishing" id be guessing to say off the rocks maybe around Mahia??. Hopefully someone may shed some more information. I no we had experienced a few Skipjack tuna captures from shore a couple of seasons ago during feb/march both caught on bait and spinner amongst Kahawai boilups, and ive witnessed large boil ups with freejumping skippies as close as 200mtrs off Whirinaki reef before, but Albacore and this time of the year?. Very interesting.
