Right on James! Its always a mate of a mate that caught the fish! If its reported in the local rag with a photo of the happy angler with supporting mates who saw the whole happy affair.....it might be true. Otherwise forget it.

Reminds me of the rumour years ago of a dog tooth tuna supposedly caught at Plimmerton beside the road bridge over state highway 1 near Wellington.
