Getting my son out for his first time with the 12 foot (would start him off on a 10 foot but don't have one) surfcaster hoping for friday not sure if I will head for whiritoa again or kawhia harbour either way both places have deep water close in where he can get away with lobbing the bait out without losing his confidence. Either way will let you know how I get on. According to to solunar site i use for tide times bite time is supposed to be very high activity between 12 and 2 it has only been right once for me and that was last week when it said there would be a very short bite time, this time I am arming myself with some of that squid bait that has been infused with shell fish.
