Napier area looking good for a big snapper. The rivers and sea are clearing for the weekend and fishing should be good. Whitebaiting picked up thursday and friday with some good catches in the bigger rivers. With the bait will be kahawai and snapper. Beaches to the south of Napier, teAwanga and Haumoana have produced the goods so far with about a dozen big snapper on rods and a few others on longlines. Best one still Jimmy Beazleys 13.45kg.
Beaches to the north like North Shore Rd, Whirinaki and Gill Rd. could come away now and produce a big one or two over the weekend. Good luck if you are going to give it a go. Dont forget to report back
