I found a few years ago that the uni-knot would come undone often if using a sliding keeper hook & that was bearing the load.More so with using heavy trace.Snelling the main hook stopped this happening , the resulting pig-tail & lost fish.The double overhand loop is another option simply because it doesn't slip under load but only if the hook eye is big enough to accommodate the doubled line.
