A burley bomb is left over bits of fish/shell fish that have been ground up placed into a mould and then frozen into a solid cylindrical block. it is placed into a pot of similar size with holes drilled into it or made of mesh then placed in the water as it slowly thaws out bits come off the bomb and create a food and scent trail to get the fish into a feeding frenzy.
