I had the opposite in BOP, fishing less and catching more.
I went closer to home and was more successful than ever. Papamoa really turned it on this season with my best bag numbering 8 good snapper.
In previous seasons it's been a hard slog for 15 to 20 snapper, this year I got well over 40.
Papamoa has been dead for around month now but
last week tried Hauone stream which turned out to be a blast. Landing 1 45cm snapper and 8 kahawai. I lost a number of snapper tho dropping at the first strike, which I put down to blunt hooks.
I hope there's others which didn't do too badly and here's looking forward to next season.
