People do not need to submit a profile to have their thoughts published in letters to the editor of national newspapers, either here or overseas. I did not need to submit a publishable profile to become a member of the 'World Sea Fishing' forum. I do not need to submit a profile to put fishing clips on YouTube ... therefore I ask: What it so wrong with this site you believe it is necessary to abuse a member's right to privacy?
You use this site to push the products you are associated with, in other words free advertising - no doubt with the owner's consent. Your musings on the merits of the original Veritas rod are legendary. The faults that were pointed out with the early rod were substantiated. In the new model it was admitted the line guides were poor, the poor fitting of rod joints (and no rod case) these were all cured in the latest model. Long live freedom of the site, even though you don't like it.
This sort of back biting will be the ruination of the site, soon there will only be members of the Pania Club left, rather like an 'old boy's network'.
So we have a few who have the courage to voice their thoughts on here. Some are controversial and long may it remain so. Some can put an opposing point of view whilst still respecting the views of others, sadly some can't and need to insult rather than consult.
I will not be putting my name and profile on here, simply because I have the right not to do so. Until the owners change the way they accept new members I suggest all members should be made welcome and their right to use a pen name should be respected.
HANGLER!!!
