Nice little selection of knots that you guys have recommended. I will have to practice all of them.

One thing I forgot to note that I was using braid as a shock leader, but I'm starting to think that its not such a great idea on a surfcasting rod. Now I don't know if its due to my casting technique or not but I'm finding that the braid is eating up the tip on my Solaris. I know that braid has pretty much no stretch and can be pretty abrasive on plastic. .
