Have a look at a 4x4 Kia Sorento. I have one and it does all the Hawkes Bay work on rivers and beaches and is reall comfortable for the "long miles". I have a deisel and it is econmical. Great towing power, they are known for it. Make sure you get the model with 4 wheel drive on demand and not theall time 4 wheel drive
