Seven hours on a BOP beach with out a bite except from the crabs that stripped bites over the low tide, at least with the loss of light they disappeared.
Water was the dirtiest I've ever seen it but it started to clear with the incoming tide, moon went down near high tide but still nothing.
The wind was stronger to start with than predicted and the swell (what there was) looked confused due to the wind or was it the earthquake the day before?
In the last hour 8 to 9pm every bait came back untouched but nothing apart from the seal and a couple of diving seabirds the ocean was dead.
And a 90 minute drive home and a car to clean out today, oh well its happened before and it probably will again.
