Did my first drive of the year over to Aotea, it has been a year since I went there for a fish and it produced in a rather pleasing manner and finally some decent sized fish for once all bound for the smoker. So the tally for the day was 2 trevalley (one for the veritas and one for the penn prevail and baitrunner) and one decent sized snapper my son reeled in the snapper and was his first scrap with a decent fish which was on my penn prevail and he felt every bit of it as the reel was loaded with braid
One for the Veritas LR and Penn squall combo
getting ready to be salted
Hanging in the old fridge letting the salt soak in and juices drain off hopefully I can get away with having them hang like this in the smoker oven on low temp for a slow smoke
