Looks like youll be needing ya raincoat Geno, but the Snapper wont mind!. Will do a local fish in the ruff on Sunday, take the steal steed for a blat, make sure shes still running fine, wake up the residents of Whirinaki. Then Nth next weekend when the tides are inviting again. I still think weve got another 2 weeks or so of slow fishing before it picks up, but hey if you aint out there trying, youll never no will ya!. Just talked to a customer today, and told me him and a mate, longlined in a 14kg Clydsedale and a bunch of carrots last weekend at Westshore beach, so theres one or two around, but still dammed slow. Reports of Kahawai schooling off of clifton is encouraging too. Weve just recieved the best dump of snow on the HB ranges this year 2 days ago, so shes still cold air and water temps, but ill be out there wetting a line somewhere, waiting for that big old Snapper to suck my bait in.
