Gary has done an excellent job in promoting and spread the word about rig design especially. A wider audience is now aware about the components involved and how to build effective rigs. At the same time anglers are now considering (for the most part) how rigs which cast and fish more effectively and do improve results. Also creating a fascinating aspect of the sport itself in making rigs where you can become a "rig junkie". His work with Okuma has also brought more fish within reach of a wider audience (sorry for the pun)interesting to see what the future holds.
