The rigs themselves have been around since the early 1980's in different variations on the same theme. Since then inventions such as the Breakaway Impact Shield and more recently Imps have meant they have made slight but important improvements since the bent wire bait clips of the early 80s. The credit goes to Gary for his commercial link to TT and how he has used his fishing personality to promote the product range (which is both practical and safe)and help bring the rigs to a wider audience especially at a time when the sport has a growing younger audience.
