    Without wishing to be too negative, it's my opinion that Kiwi anglers deserve far better than they get with the Sinclair and Thomas programmes. Episode one in this new series was non stop adverts from start to finish. Four times Sinclair sat and chatted with the charter skipper on various subjects all to do with promoting the charter boat's business, there was even a solid plug for the rod and reel Sinclair was using, obtained from the Warehouse, naturally.

    When we have a programme on Rugby we don't get a segment on how they make balls, or with tennis how they make racquets or with cricket on how they make bats.

    Angling is the largest participant sport in New Zealand and it deserves better coverage than the rubbish that is put out week after week. Is it too much to see an entire program devoted to the where, the how and the tackle of fishing, not where they stayed, the food they ate and the charter they fished with. Is it too much to ask for a programme without having Sinclair or Thomas having All Blacks or Henry as guests. If I hear the childish Thomas giggle once more as he puts his arm around a guest's shoulder for a quick cuddle, there is a high likelihood the remote may go through the screen.

    Why can't we have one informative programme on fishing and occasionally, hunting? Is this really too much to ask. Oh yes, I haven't forgotten the other idiot who breaks just about every safety rule of the sea and boating, and sets a bloody wonderful example for others not to follow. Is it any wonder their are so many boating accidents and drownings in New Zealand?

    Rant over, I just think with our numbers we deserve better ... far, far better.
