I would suggest Chad that before you make any more posts you read the everyday, simple rules of the site ... let's start with rule one.

While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts.

Secondly, if you intend to quote me then kindly do so in full, my actual words were:

Let us see programmes where specialists in their field, Gary K as an example, are shown giving top tips on surfcasting, setting up the business end and how to perform a satisfactory cast. Sorry, Thomas, Sinclair and co wouldn't have a clue so let's see a few people who do.

I believe that to be well put and reasonably simple to understand. This is the second time you have stooped to insults when others hold a differing opinion to yours. My experience with rod and line covers most of my 68 years, I have lived in the far north, Kaitai, I have lived in the Bay of Plenty where Pikowhai was my much favoured fishing ground. I have also spent many years here in Hawke's Bay and served my time with the Pania Surfcasters.

I write from the perspective of experience, many years experience. Since returning to the Bay a year ago I have found the fishing much improved as many of the reports (including your own) would tend to bear out.

I have no axe to grind with any fisho, the reasoning behind my comments about Thomas and Sinclair are clear, concise and substantiated week after week, other posters have also agreed with my comments. My only request (suggestion) was that with the numbers of anglers in New Zealand, by this I include those who chase freshwater fish as well, we deserve better coverage than what we are getting at present, you are free to differ as I assume you are satisfied.

There are many sports shown on television, in fact too many to mention. Can you list a few that are peppered from start to finish with adverts, not during the breaks when that is to be expected, but actually during the show. Even lawn bowls, hockey and flower arranging enthusiasts are not subject to this infringement on their viewing, then why should we? I have no qualms at the end of the show sponsors being thanked for their input, what I strongly object to is having several minutes of a show set aside to blatantly advertise a charter boat's charge, what anglers can expect to catch, how many the boat will hold, what is supplied ... oh yes, and what's the state of the fishery?

If you like this constant interruption to your viewing, so be it, but at least have the decency to understand others may just hold a differing opinion based on many years of experience.

Well done on the catch of the very nice snapper, there have been several reported this week. There have also been reports of nice lemons, sand sharks, kahawhai, coutas, gurnard, even moki, which does tend to throw a different light on how bad the Bay fishes and the need for a survey to take to the minister.
