    Steve

The Raglan wharf will keep your kids interested. Lots of small undersize snapper and other little fish. Plus the odd keeper. Avoid Ruapuke unless you want to drown. Fish off the bridge just out of Ragaln, heading towards Whale Bay. Use mussel for bait, a few Moki around there. Also good for the kids. And the odd Kahawai. All safe places for the wee fellows, but keep an eye on them eh.

The harbour mouth out by the old Golf Course can produce at times, fish one hour before and after high tide. Otherwise the rip is to much. Nice safe beach, also safe with kids. Just do the one hour before and the one hour after high tide.

When you learn more, Manu Bay by the Boat Ramp has always interested me. Can often be quite calm there. I would suggest a float with a running Stop Knot. It is snaggy ground, but looks very fishy. If my memory serves me right, fish just to the right of the Boat Ramp.

    Cheers Hardy
