Left Hand wind overhead reels

Want to replace my old but mint Penn Jigmaster 500 factory left hand wind with a left hand overhead more suited to distance casting.
Thought of getting the 500's bushes fitted with ball races but the cost is prohibitive and the reel was never designed for distance.
What do yous think of the Shimano Torium 20 & 30 size reels?? (available in LH wind)
I have sausage fingers and prefer a reasonably big reel.
Had a Penn Squidder LH wind that could cast for miles but some prick stole it in 1997 and I could never find another mint one to replace it.
I'm strongly right handed but have always wound left handed and that won't change.
Any ideas for reels under $400 tops

Abu 6501 would be a far better casting left hand reel

A few questions re Abu's please:
Can you remove the level wind and bung up the holes easily?
Do they stand heavy duty saltwater use??
And do they hold much 30lb mono???

You would need a suitable cross frame bar to replace the bottom bar of the level wind to create a CT frame, these are available as are the bungs for the top level wind mechanism. Other wise the frame could twist out of shape.
Not really designed for "heavy use"
Struggle to hold that much 30lb line but its line diameter that determines capacity.

If you need to run heavy line look for a 7001.And convert it to bearings instead of the factory bushings

Crossbars are avail of a fair few overseas sites but I imagine Phill here could knock one up
