In non-poo news, I've sent my CV to some companies in Ireland and Scotland. There's only four total. Well, five. Only one replied. She said she was looking for people but the work she does isn't work that I can do. Not good enough.
So that's Ireland crossed off my list. I sent the Scottish ones tonight so I'll give them until tomorrow.
Then there's a firm near Wales but I don't think that they have much if any work. Isn't there a Welsh Assembly, though? Somebody must surely be recording all the important stuff being said there.
Where do I go after that? Well, that's the dilema. Try Canada, I guess. I'd need a visa, though. And they don't just hand those things out. It's also based on age. The older you are, the fewer points you get.
I think I can forget about Singapore and Hong Kong. I've already looked at the companies there and it didn't look promising. There's weren't many and I already worked for the main company who does work there and left on sort of bad terms.
I asked an Australian about Australia and she said they don't have much of this work there.
So then it's down to the US. That's where the lionshare of the work is, of course. And I don't need a visa. And I'm familiar with the culture. But that loan...
