Mitsuharu Misawa
Abdullah The Butcher
Takeshi Rikio
Ryuji Yamakawa
Then the next tournament had MMA guy Bob Sapp win. So back to more of the same. My current tournament will almost certainly have Roland Boch winning it. He's an old time wrestler who could also fight legit. This was back when wrestling was semi-real.
But yeah, the late Mitsuharu Misawa. He's awesome. And Abdullah The Butcher...kind of surprised that he won. He was in a weak bracket. Rikishi fought him in the final and Rikishi is a mid-carder.
Then Takeshi Rikio. I had to look him up. He was a sumo and then wrestled for a bit. Effectively retired in 2006 (so a year after the game was released). He was alright in the game but again, he was in a pretty weak bracket. Terry Funk was the biggest opposition and he beat him.
Then Ryuji Yamakawa. This was a total shock. This guy doesn't even have a Wikipedia page. He wrestles in some Japanese indy federation. He's been in all the Fire Pro games at least since Fire Pro Wrestling D so I was familiar with him from the game. He's a jobber. Again, a weak bracket and he beat Mil Mascaras in the final match. Ooh, he beat Takeshi Morishima too. He's pretty good. He was destined for great things when this game was released. One of the youngest champions and whatnot. He retired recently due to illness.
And then yeah, Bob Sapp. By today's standards, he's crazy over-powered. Because in real life, Bob Sapp has been exposed as a crap fighter. He basically does comedy MMA matches now. But in 2005 (when the game was released) he was a big celebrity in Japan and considered a dangerous fighter.
In other news, I got some diced chicken breast from Sainsburys today. I had a bottle of Nando's Extra Hot sauce that was languishing in my cabinet for maybe nine months that I wanted to use.
First of all, the diced chicken breast is genius. I bought whole chicken breast before and cut it up at home and it was absolutely disgusting and I vowed never to do it again. So this solves that problem. You just pour the sauce on the diced chicken and chuck it in the pan. What could be easier?
Indeed, no problems. I cooked it longer than I probably should have and it still tasted fine. The sauce was too hot, though. I put the chicken in corn tortillas.
So I was reading reviews of this sauce on Amazon. It got high ratings but most everybody complained that it wasn't hot enough. I don't much care for these losers. The only excitement in their lives is finding hot food to stuff in their disgusting mouths. Are these people supposed to be manlier because they've built up a tolerance to spicy food? Are they getting more b###hes because of it? It's totally bizarre. The world's gayest hobby.
