Still, here it is mid-November and I haven't turned my heating on once. Is this the awful Glasgow winter that these incomprehensible people told me about? Even in London, I probably had the heating on by now.

Let's look at the temperatures here and in Chicago.

According to the BBC, 2 degrees Celcius. That certainly looks cold. Almost freezing. But that's my only Celcius knowledge (that 0 is freezing). Let's convert to Farenheight. 35.6. Yeah, seems cold. But I see people out there without coats. And not just nuts. I debate whether or not I need a coat. I mean when I'm wearing a suit.

Well...hmmm...let me make sure this temperature is accurate. Ah right. 12 degrees Celcius according to weather dot com (home of the Weather Channel). That's the current temperature. And convert that...53.6 Farenheit. Yeah, that's pretty warm.

Now check Chicago using the same site...8 Celcius/46.4 Farenheit. And it's daytime there. It's nighttime in Glasgow.

Let me check tomorrow's forecast to get consistent temperatures. 6 in Glasgow and 9 in Chicago. No, I don't believe it. 11 for London, by the way.

I mean, in Chicago it's often snowing by this time of year. It's definitely colder. I've seen plenty of dangerous winters there.

Anyway, my friend is coming tomorrow so hope the rain stops. It's been raining for a few days, though. And you just get huge puddles everywhere. Never seen anything like it. The city is too broke to build a functioning sewer system.

Anyway, she wants to see some Highland cows. So...we're doing that. There's a park in town that allegedly has them. What a weird request, though. We'll have to discuss other things to see as well. Especially since if it's raining I don't think the cows will come out.
