Mad Libs started in the 50s. Got popular in the 70s. I used them in the 80s.
You're asked to give various parts of speech and these are then inserted into a story. It's fun.
But this app...so many nouns and verbs. Once in a while an adjective. Rarely an adverb. The other four parts of speech are nowhere to be found.
And the body parts. This was sometimes done in the book but way overdone in the app. And plural body parts. How many choices are there? I had three plural body parts in one story. Of course everyone is going to say "tits" so that's lowbrow stuff. But then you have to think of two more. It's dumb.
And as for the crudeness, yes that's part of the fun but the fun is subverting the product. By asking for plural body parts as nauseum it's obvious that the writers WANT perverse answers. And for a children's product, that's disgusting.
It's just so watered down. There's no fun in thinking of 10 nouns, 5 verbs, and a plural body part. Give me some prepositions or something.
