You know what would have been better than "chromosome deficiencies, poor upbringing, lack of education, lack of intellect, lack of parenting skills, and lack of employment"? If I said:

Lack of upbringing, lack of education, lack of intellect, lack of parenting skill, and lack of chromosomes

Because the chromosome reference is the zinger. In my original post, I wasted the joke right at the start. Also, had I done it this way, it would have been a series of things that are lacking. So a theme. Curse the lack of an edit button.

While I'm here, watching Dirty Dozen. Well, not really watching but it's on in the background.

I'm always reminded when this is on of a stupid class project in university where we had to list "dirty movies". This was in an English class. What was the lesson? Not really sure.

So we went into groups. This is typical for busy work, lazy educator stuff. "Teach each other!" No, how about you do the teaching? You're the one getting paid, after all. You're the one with the training. You're the one, presumably, with the knowledge.

Dirty movies. Our group listed a bunch of 70s classics: Devil in Mrs Jones, Deep Throat, that sort of thing. A bit odd because this was like 1998 and the era of mainstream erotica was far in the past. Indeed, it was before our time. By 1998, gonzo porn had fully taken over. So porn films at the time had names like Banging Granny in the Fanny 7 and whatnot. And in the US, "fanny" means "buttocks".

Most of the other groups had films like the Dirty Dozen and...I don't know...Dirty Harry. Stuff like that. Totally ridiculous.

Then the professor (a young woman) said, "Yeah, some people interpret this question as films with 'dirty' in the title and some people interpret it as 'pornograpy'".

No. Morons and people who don't want to rattle off a list of porn films in a classroom will interpret that question as "films with 'dirty' in the title". Everyone with even a marginal understanding of the English language and it's euphamisms will interpret that question as asking about pornography.
