And the flats themselves are fine. It's quiet. Don't see any shady people in the courtyard area. Seem to be a lot of students, professionals, and families. The main thing is that my flat is okay. Who cares what's going on outside? As long as there's no loud bullshit coming into my flat and everything is working and of a good standard, that's all that matters.
So I was watching Unreported World today. They show this on slow news days. So Channel 4 News, which is usually an hour, will only be 30 minutes. Then 30 minutes of Unreported World.
They were in Chicago. It's allegedly the murder capital of the world now. I don't believe that. Nearby Gary, Indiana was allegedly the murder capital of the world for many years in my youth but I don't buy that either. There's nowhere in the world that has more murders? There has to be.
Anyway, mildly interesting. They were all black people, of course. Gang members. They're the ones committing the murders. Black men in gangs. That's the story everywhere on earth.
But the interesting bit was that they subtitled some of the people. They were speaking perfectly fine. It wasn't gay English annunciation but if you're an English speaker, you should be able to understand what they're saying. It wasn't full of slang and yo yo yo Ebonics. It was normal English.
Speaking of black people, I saw a black guy from Sweden in court. He was arrested for beating two women. He had a Swedish surname and couldn't speak English. Only Swedish.
How did this happen? How did he get a Swedish surname? The only thing I can think of is that he was adopted by a Swedish couple. Or he just decided one day to use a Swedish surname.
But yeah, of course he's the only Swedish person you're going to see in court. Black Swedish guys. They seem to have a real problem with immigration in Sweden. They let loads of non-white people in and now they're coming to realise what these people are like.
