My neighbours across the street were hillbillies. Straight up, no fooling, hillbillies from Kentucky. They had a son my age.
When he first moved in, I'd go over to his house and whatnot but I didn't like him. I was like 10 or 11 and a kid but he was an asshole 10 or 11. You know, some 10 year olds are kids and others are assholes.
So I ended up mostly playing with his little brother who was like 7 or something like this. He had a bunch of He-Man figures so played with those.
I think that the father was abusive to everyone in the family so it might explain why they all seemed more..."adult" isn't the word. I don't know what term you would use. They weren't normal kids. Sexualised, maybe. They were also all dumb as shit and probably legit inbred.
For example, the daughter was maybe 8 or 9 at the time and she kept wanting to hang out with me. Later, when she was 12, she had a boyfriend in his 20s. Whenever there were builders working on their house or a neighbour's house, she'd be out there in her bikini and...you know...she was like 12. So big time ####. I had her Facebook at one point and she had wedding pictures so I guess she got married. I can't find her Facebook now.
Their whole family was just destructive. It's would be an interesting psycholgocial study. They enjoyed destroying things. They were huge on fireworks around Independence Day. And they always used them dangerously. They'd light them for weeks before and after the holiday and you'd see them with serious burns from their misadventures. And they'd still be out there blowing shit up.
Then I remember they had a swingset in their backyard. It was fun for a while. Then their father gave them permission to tear it down. I asked them why and they said because it's rusty. It's true and it wasn't installed very well but it looked reasonably safe.
Anyway, this guy relished destroying this swingset. He'd be out there with a hammer taking it apart as his little brother was still using the swing. To me, I'd be sad to see my swingset go, particularly with my little brother still enjoying the swingset. Not this guy. He just liked destroying things.
It's like these kids you see who blow up their toys and whatnot. I never did that. I always took care of my toys. Then my mother gave them all away, threw them out, or sold them at garage sales for pennies. And she wonders why I don't talk to her any more. "One day, you'll see that I was right." Really? I'm nearly 40. When am I going to get the revelation that getting rid of my childhood possessions was a good idea?
And yeah, just a lot of stories like this. They destroyed the house. After they moved, that place didn't sell for years. It smelled like urine. That was another thing. They were big on urine play.
Just disguating people. Their father died and they moved back to Kentucky or some shit when I was like 14 or so. Towards the end, they couldn't pay their bills so the lights on the house would always be off. I don't think that you can do that in the UK, but in the US, if you don't pay your electric bill, they just shut it off.
I wish I could find any of them on Facebook. The daughter was definitely there for a while but I think she's deleted her page.
Wait, no. I found it. I found the youngest boy. I recognise that mischievous face even today. He just has the one picture. Looks pretty rough but I guess no more than the average 35 year old or however old he is.
And yeah, there's his sister. She wisely no longer uses the last name. At least on Facebook. She appears to work in a mechanic shop in rural Indiana. Lot of spam links in that regard. Has a son. A lot of spam pictures saying shit like "My son is the best". I mean...let's be serious. I don't know her son but look at the genetic stock he's coming from. Also has at least one daughter.
A lot of posts supporting the police. Weird. It's something that some ultra-conservative Americans do.
A lot of posts demonising the poor as well. Again, really hardcore, braindead conservative Americans do this sort of thing. I specify Americans because I don't think that conservatives of other nationalities do these things.
She has a picture with her brother and fireworks.
She looks really old but people still post comments about how hot she is. That's par the case for Facebook though, I guess.
She posts a short tribute to her father dying 15 years earlier. So it was 1999. I don't know. If he was abusive, would she post tributes?
I think she's divorced because she posts a lot of stuff about real men taking care of other men's children and pictures about former partners being jerks.
Their two older brothers aren't on their friends lists and there's no mention of them anywhere.
You know what I hate more than anything? Those flag filters that people use. Like I guess there's a French flat filter that people will use to support France. Or a rainbow flag to support fudge packers. How does any of this actually help, though? It just obscures your photo, which I guess is the idea. That's the real intent behind this. Mask your unflattering photos.
Better go to bed. More transcripts tomorrow.
