I don't even read or watch the news and I'm sick of this Stan Lee death hype. The man was nearly 100 and in failing health. Why the shock?

No shit. That was his job. But do you think it was going to be a ground breaking new superhero? When was the last time a great new superhero emerged? 1991? I'm thinking of Spawn, by the way. Only comic nerds will even know who that is. He hasn't hit the mainstream.

I mean come on. This is a dying industry along with print media generally. We all know this.
