I've been trying to not turn the heat on all winter but today I noticed that I can see my breath in the flat so this has probably gone on long enough. Plus, my fingers are all swelling again. This has happened ever since I moved to Scotland. I think it's because of the cold. I get some cream that reduces the swelling. So far it's just the thumb and index finger on my right hand but I feel it starting on the other fingers too. Early stages. It's usually the right ring finger that goes next.

I'm not even particularly cold, though. I'm under the blankets all day but other than that it's tolerable. I find that it's too cold to get to bed, though. I mean literally to walk to my bed. So I've been sleeping on the futon of late.
