Hey, that overweight, unattractive 27 year old Irish woman on Tinder is responding to my messages. She's Irish, by the way. That's new information.

I'm only sending one message a day, though. Frankly, I don't want to go out with her. It's too cold, too close to Christmas, and I'm not hugely interested. Maybe after Christmas, I'd be up for it. She lives nearby at least, so that would be good. Wouldn't have to travel.

In other news, I have to get Christmas gifts. My older niece is like 20 now and she didn't acknowlege last year's gift so she's old enough not to give Christmas gifts to any more.

The younger niece, I can find something. I just got a Steiff monkey last year. That wasn't acknowledged either but...I don't know. She's about 10, I guess. 12. I don't know. I'll get something.

Then it's just my lady friend. She was saying that her Kindle is breaking down. So this is an easy decision. It's a Kindle that I got for her five years ago. So yeah, I guess that's a reasonable shelf life for a product like that. I paid £270, though. Holy crap.

I don't think they're anywhere near that expensive now. Yeah, they're top of the line latest model appears to be £180. And still just with 64gb of storage. The one I got five years ago had 65gb.

And the CPU is actually slower? What? This can't be right. This can't be the best model.

No. It seems that it is. I'm not particularly impressed with this. Let me look at other tablets. There's some Apple tablet but I don't think that's a good idea with their proprietary shit.

Speaking of which, she already has some Amazon account, I think. Something that lets her watch movies.

I'll have to think about it. I don't want to get some £500 Samsung because she takes the tablet that she has now on the train and bus and whatever and it might be slightly worrying to take an expensive tablet out in such situations. Plus, I don't want to spend £500. And all she does is watch movies and whatever on it anyway. Don't need a top of the line product.

Then there's the issue of the 10 inch or the 8 inch model. Is 10 inches too big for her traveling? The 7 inch one she has now barely fits in her bag.

Maybe I'll just ask her.
