It's glorious. I'm back in the development of the one flat I ever had that I liked. This place isn't as nice but it's two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Otherwise, the layout is exactly the same as that last place. Everything is familiar but a bit different. It's like living in an alternate universe version of that flat.

A few minor problems. Toilet seat is REALLY crooked. Never saw that problem before. Oven is old with worn off labels so I don't know what the mode or temperature is. Two of the burner knobs just come off and they don't turn right. That can't be safe. Some peeling paint in the en suite bathroom due to poor ventilation. Stuff like this. Haven't seen anything huge but it's clearly not maintained to the high standard of the nice flat that I lived in.

If I find something better, I can always move. But I managed to get £50 off the rent for this place because nobody was biting. So...that's good, I guess.

It's nice to be back here though. I put my futon together and my computer table thing and my end table. Tomorrow I'm going to work on the bed and, energy permitting, the little drawers.

Then maybe I could build that closet, just to use as a storage space. Hide some of my crap away. And if I can find the parts, I can even build that awful chair that folds out to a bed. I only had it for three months at one flat and never built it again because it's crap. But I have the room here so might as well.
