Does anybody know how this will affect our mobile mechanics and breakdown services and more to the point, what exactly constitutes an in street repair.
Changing the plugs and points on Grandmas Moggy thou?
Full engine diagnostics on the latest MPV?
Fitting a new battery on a freezing cold day?
Bit of welding for the MOT?
Changing the wiper blades?
Stripping out the burnt out Clutch?
Mechanic from the local bus depot fitting a new top hose to an overheated double decker full of overheated passengers (all swearing they will take the car next time)?
Etc:, Etc:------
Is this the end for Kerbside Autos?
Will all vehicles now have to be taken to a garage/authorised repairer?
Will the established and well known motoring organisations now have to recover all vehicles off the street and no longer carry out any roadside repairs?
Or will it be the case of one law for some and another law for others?
Any views?
Colin.
