We have been charging the full price for tests and retests if taken away for repair so will be charging 1/2 price when new regs come into force.Dont know why they could not have left things as they were, if a vehicle came back for a retest a full test was carried out,whats going to happen now is that you can retest a car for failed items only and could be sent on its way with no lights for example and you have just issued the cert! One good thing though is emissions among others is no longer a free partial retest. Been told on good authority that VOSA/Siemens are looking to pay £7 for each MOT done in ET as compensation in future, and at this time have £114.000 in claims for April still outstanding,I claimed 4 months ago and still waiting
