I think it is just another example of this country going to the dogs. More and more people run their cars with out insurance, without road tax and with out Mots, so how will safety become worse if the legal system says it only has to be tested every two years instead of every year, all that will happen is they will only be breaking the law half as much - ha, crime figures will go down, that's it! Will be able to get rid of a few more policemen "or women", (probably a bigger fine for discrimination than motoring offences).
Just read local paper, women with no tax test or insurance fined £200, my daughter pays £50 mot, £165 R/tax and around £500 insurance - £500 cheaper to get caught.
