You have rejected the goods as not fit for purpose (not sure I've spelt that correctly!). You have informed the company and told them to collect the goods. I'd say you're covered.

I had a similar situation with a company similar to Innotec (BUT NOT INNOTEC! They are pretty good!) The rep came round, showed us some stuff including hand cleaner, and offered some to try at a discount price. FOUR 5Ltr bottles arrived - only one was discounted. The other three were £60 each! The box they came in looked like it had been travelling around for years!

I immediately told them to come and pick them up. Six months later they were still in the storeroom and we kept getting letters demanding payment. I got my solicitors (whom I have on a sort of subscription basis) to write them a letter telling them we would be charging them for storage and they sent someone to pick them up!

I now never,ever deal with anyone who rings or calls in trying to sell anything. It's nearly always a scam. Especially if they claim to represent a charity!
