Thanks for that and sorry to hear that you have got problems with these people although mine pale in comparison compared to yours.
My dealings were buying an 0800 number for life with no call forwarding charges. This number is tagged to my mobile phone so when I leave the house my home number is transfered to my 0800 number which means I save about £20 pm in call forwarding charges. Had this for 7 months so it has paid for itself but....this 0800 number is now in Yellow Pages. If this company goes under then I fear that my prospective customers would be greated by an unobtainable tone. Not good for business.
When I got my money re-credited to my card, I dealt with a very agressive MD. Not the sort of person to cross swords with. Each morning I expect to see the carcass of a horse's head on my door-step!
Had dealings with another Company called XLN Telecom a couple of years ago promising cheap calls. Resulted in Telephone Bills being doubled. Presented my case to Otelo and got my money back and they got a rap on the knuckles.
Prior to that, had dealings with Unicom based in Sheffield. Same thing. They were very aggressive and inundated me with nuisance calls. For a week I got about 40 nuisance and silent calls a DAY. I got calls saying that they know where I live and will be coming to have a "look around". They even left messages on their customers answer-phones puporting to be me and to ring my company ASAP. Got dozens of calls from bewildered people who did not know what was going on. Again, went to Otelo and got compensation. Various staff members of Unicom were sacked.
So the moral of the story is......BE CAREFUL! I am back with BT and very happy with my contract.
Regards
