Seem to recall Volvo offering something similar many years ago, only to find it cost them an absolute fortune and they withdrew it and also 'lost' people's service books so that they hadn't got a record of servicing at the dealer to claim on the warranty later or when car was sold on. It's a great way to mortgage your business, sell the cars today whilst in the depression on the basis of the warranty, then hoep that not too many people claim on the warranty tomorrow. I'm betting that GM will withdraw this offer as soon as it costs them too much and once they start selling cars well again. Certainly nothing in the build qulaity to say that they are good enough for a lifetime warranty. Regards, Rob.
