Have had a workwear contract with Sunlight (Bosch preferred supplier) for over six years, they changed them every week and repaired/replaced as necc. It has worked ok but we have now decided to supply our own workwear and cleaning for staff.
We have given the required notice to Sunlight as per their agreement and have now been told that despite that, there is something called 'Residual value' charges which have to be paid on termination.--Any item of clothing which gets replaced during your agreement or has not had a minimum of three years use will automatically be charged to your closing account. This means that we have a bill of some £300 to pay + a possibility of a further £181 for 'potential lost stock' charges.
Certainly not made clear when we signed the agreement and any of you with similar workwear agreements will probably have the same to pay if you terminate at any time.-Check your small print.
