Just wondered if you deal directly with Axa or through a broker? I only mention this because I insure directly with them and deal with a dedicated Rep from Axa. I have always found them willing to negotiate on price each year so have not found it worth changing. I do have a colleague who is going through the 'ritual' of trying for an alternative quote at the moment and he is finding it hard going!
