This would be similar to the system here in Ireland. IE independent company in dedicated testing centres.

The initial test costs e58.00 and on a fail you have 28 days to book a retest at a cost of e28.00
Most car owners use this to their perceived advantage.
If the car fails, they then carry out the necessary repairs highlighted by the nct centre and are sure of a pass on the retest. If it passes first time, great.


Why go to a garage for a pre inspection when the testing centre will do it for e28.00 This is how a lot of car owners look at it.
