my understanding of politics is very weak but unless I mis-understood Cameron 18-21 year olds on job seakers allowence after a set time (6 months I think) will be forced into community work or an apprenticeship.

Some will know doubt agree with this but how will this actualy happen and what is there to gain from forcing a lad into an apprenticeship in something he or she has no interest in, how does this benefit us as the employer (obviously if it was aimed at us)

I actually believe its down to wages to a point, other trades as an apprentice earn far more than what youngsters do or did.

I have no knowledge of wages thesedays but do know 6-8 years ago an apprentice sparky my mate employed earnt £120-£150 per day depending on job type. More of a specialist side of his trade but how does this compare to our trade apprenticeships.
