It's just been reported in the financial press that Halfords turnover reached one billion pounds in the last financial year. I'd hazard a guess and say that this won't make much of a dent in their profits, or cause the senior management to lose much sleep. Major players like Halfords are similar to big banks, they are pretty much a law unto themselves. Any financial penalties are just seen as part of the cost of doing business. |
