I have found all ECU repairers are hit and miss.

Now got the the stage that its not worth the days/ weeks of agony waiting to find you are back to square one.

I just buy new - yes it does cost the customer a few hundred quid more but...peace of mind.

I had one ABS unit reman from AC for BMW two weeks off road to start then it failed again and I had to supply customer a car for another 10 days whilst they remanned the reman. Which failed again. So I then bought new. cost me a fortune.

In general we as the garage are left carrying the financial can whilst up the supply chain they stall and / or dont pay out full cost, if any. Most warranties suck.
