Well we got more info from the customer while we were waiting for the insurance Co to make up their mind. The vehicle had been caught up in the tide while crossing from Holy Island on the Northumberland coast (Salt water and sand) No doubt the reason why the pulleys on the front of the engine were very noisy. A lot of the parts in the engine bay were turning whitish in colour. The insurance company would not agree to what we were asking so I asked them to remove the vehicle and my charges up to then were £260.00. I got the cheque today and someone else now has the headache. So pulling the head off for that amount has made the hassle worth while.
