In my area Brown Brothers, Partco & Sereck have been combined into one unit for about a year now.All three logos are used on vans & stationary but headed by Unipart Automotive.We were heavy with BB so have continued.Powertrain lines are rapidly being replaced by Unipart(same junk in many cases)for budget ranges but branded parts are what we mainly use for quality and correct application.Express franchise is still operating here from back door of Rover dealer(Inchcape this week).Unipart must be contracted to supply them,perhaps your local Express contract came to an end. We also have a very good independant factor mostly suppling Motaquip,quality and application is definatly better on most lines than Unipart/Powertrain.I use them whenever possible but they are a bit further away and cannot match Unipart for deliverys. If you are right I think a new factor will be good but would like to see competition in quality, not just price.
