Beware of this lot,

If they phone you, google" motor trades complaints" before you agree to any thing

Be very aware, on line listing with MotorTrades, first year £429, automatic roll over following year £3500. With enhanced listing first year £60, second year £5200. Amended pricing hidden in email news letter's, which require you to search through two hyper links before you find the roll over pricing in the terms and condictions has changed, and is now based on "rate card" pricing, unless you opt out before the roll over, which before the change in T&C's would have been just +10% on the first year's subscription.
RMI flooded with traders who have fallen to this.
Just enter MotorTrades into Google.

We just been bitten by these people and am now not sure what to do.

We signed up for 3 adverts (my father actually did it as he thought it was a good idea) but now we regret it as i did a search though here and on google which reveals complaint after complaint.

But we from what i can remeber only e-signed one agreement and i've just this minute had an email asking us to sign the 2nd/3rd order agreement which i'm obviously not going to do

Trading standards can't help as its business to business but said never agree to any advertising over the phone or online as this is now a common happening.

So now as i have an email asking for the confirmation for the final 2 adverts i reckon i can possibly get some of the money back already paid and only lose the money for the 1st signed advert.

Plus our welcome pack states that only 1 has been signed for.

Trading standards did say that you must send an email asap stating that under no circumstances you wish to renew your advertising/listing in the directroy as this is then proof of you opting out but make sure you chase a reply.

Wish i'd searched 1st but at least i'm/we are not the only ones caught out by them which means i'm not so stupid.

Sorry my father was to busy today (he knows more about it than me) to phone you so I will ring you next Saturday if that's ok.

I will speak with motortrades next Monday and see what records they have of us e-signing so at least I should have some more news.

These clowns have just phoned here, could hear many operators in the background, told them I was not interested in hundreds of more customers, they even had the cheek to ask if I knew anyone who was interested. So they are still active---so beware.

just thought i'd update this as we had a phone call last Thursday saying we now owe them £4500 renewal fee's but they'd offer us a discount.

Obviously after the last cock up we said no we are not renewing as we don't want any more dealings with you.

They said we had no choice as we'd sign an agreement and hadn't sent in a letter to cancel automatic renewal.

I took over and stated that i sent an email to there accounts department instructing them not to automatically renew the contract, this apparrantly isn't acepted as it has to be in writing but its ok for them to s-sign documents without any written contracts being posted out.

Anyway i was lucky as i had a copy of the email from there accounts department which clearly stated they would cancel any automatic renewal so thankfully they haven't taken any money from our bank account.

Not even 12 montsh had passed since they were asking for more money.
